Admission into the institute of Professional Studies starts from July to October and January for late entry. Students can be admitted for short and special need courses at any time. Regular classes begin in September to March - first semester and April to September - second semester. Prior to registration, you should meet the minimum admission requirement detailed below.

ENTRY QUALIFICATION

The minimum entry qualification is at least 4 GCE Ordinary Level papers. Consideration can be given to candidates with 3 Ordinary Level papers who are preparing for the GCE. Students enrolling for the Diploma Examination will be required to put in 12 months of continuous studies. Holders of equivalent certificates such as CAP are also accepted.

Students enrolling for the Higher National Vocational Qualification Diploma (H.N.Q.V.D) must be holders of the A Level or First Degree. Consideration may be given to holders of a single paper at the Advanced Level on conditions that they rewrite before the end of course examination. Holders of equivalent certificates can also enroll for the H.N.V.Q.D program.

The above details holds for all our Information and Communication (ICT) courses and Business Courses as well. Only those wishing to enroll for the H.N.V.Q.D are required of at least an Advanced Level, First Degree or an equivalent certificate.

EVALUATION

Students are assessed through continuous assessment tests and semester exams, which qualifies them for a testimonial issued by the school. Students also write a project after their internship and seat for an internal defense before writing the examination organized by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training.
